Bespoke Mild Steel Staircase and Balustrades in Highgate, London
A bespoke mild steel staircase formed from laser cut stringers with a clean, stepped profile.
The structural elements were paired back to the bare minimum and the slender steel spindles sized to match keeping the whole piece light and refined.
Additional coordinating steel balustrades were made to for the timber staircase on the lower level, giving the house a consistent language as you move through it.
The metalwork was developed in close collaboration with Lineworks Architects.
Their detailing and spatial planning guided the proportions of the stair, ODACE provided engineering support and we worked with Portico Design and Build to align the steel with the surrounding joinery and timber elements.
